Lisa Seiffert Dunebuggy dreams, iD Magazine out takes

Some time around 2003 I started to think about doing a shoot with a girl and Dunebuggy. But a classic buggy like the ones that I remembered seeing when I was a little kid on trips to Baja with my folks. I started doing a bit of research, found out that what I was think of was referred to as a Meyers Manx type buggy, I found out that it was hard to find one to rent, I found myself becoming obsessed with these little cars, and next I found myself buying one (the first of several to come). And that is the orange "El Lobo" buggy you see featured here in this fashion story that I shot for iD magazine. Stylist Leslie Lessin and I cast Lisa Seiffert for the story, the stunning Australian model turned out to also an adventurous spirit, up for the long road trip we took deep into Baja, Mexico to shoot this story. She also learned quickly on the stop to drive the manual transmission dunebuggy. The resulting shoot has always been one of my favorites.
